Greetings Fans, my NoŽl Coward cd

'Tim McKew at The Sands'

has finally arrived. The cover is a homage to that iconic album 'NoŽl Coward in Las Vegas'. You can't see it on the cover, but I am drinking my tea out of a Queen Elizabeth Coronation cup.

It has been very exciting puting this cd together, a little too exciting, given the 6 day turn around, from recording to launch, but as NoŽl would say "Work is much more fun than fun". This is a long awaited collaborative recording with piano accompanist, arranger and producer Peter de Ryk, who has played with me for 18 years now. The cd also features Amber Lomanowicz on the trumpet.

The recording celebrates NoŽl Coward's music, presenting many of his loved classics such as 'Mad about the Boy', 'A Room with a View', 'Mad Dogs and Englishmen' and the lesser recorded songs like 'You Were There' and 'The Green Carnation'. As with the live show, some of the songs have a 21st century twist, such as 'Poor Little Rich Girl', where NoŽl makes reference to Paris Hilton [NoŽl was always up to the minute !]

I invite you to have a Martini and listen to a track or 2 & click the flash player below.
